About Us

In 2008 we wrote “Be More Better, Stuff to Know and Use”.   It was followed by “Be More Better, More Stuff to Know and Use”.

Catchy titles.

They do, however, accurately reflect what we do.  We seek to make our audience better, whether in body, mind, or spirit.

Over the years, we have added to the bulk we offer, whether books, videos, presentations, or motivational talks.

Everything we create is done so for the intention of helping the reader or the viewer.

We try to combine interesting information and give perspective to understand it.  We also work to be positive and use humor.

We know “Be-More-Better” is not proper English grammar — we really do.  That is deliberate, a way to announce our content can be fun.

We hope you like it, and more importantly, find it useful.   The world can be ugly.  People are too often stressed, too busy.  Unsmiling.

We hope that we help you walk away from the darkness.  The world is an amazing place: whether you look at nature, people, systems, engineering or history (and yes, some of the latter is terrible — so we must learn from it and do better.)

Mike’s earliest memory is of his father teaching him to read.  He spent his summers being guided by his grandmother, on the mined-out Appalachian mountain where his grandfather had worked.  Back in Brooklyn, he would often help his mother behind the mahogany bar of the family’s tavern – child labor laws, or no.  His Xaverian High School years were spent in an experimental curriculum with all classes taught in Spanish, a precursor to his language hobby, now including Hindi and Mandarin.  He has earned two Degrees from Stevens Institute of Technology and spent time at MIT, too.

Mike’s career included executive positions in technology offices at the AMEX and AIG, before he began consulting around the world on some interestingly large financial systems.

He works in the New Jersey home he shares with Theresa.  He believes creating and sharing is not an obligation, but his greatest pleasure.
